Every single thing in this attic is a light wood grain. the only things that aren't are the bedding, which is neutral, and the lamp shade. The result? A room that feels as if it is blending effortlessly with the outdoors. The simple windows give glimpses of pine trees outside and the rest of the room seems to have been designed around them.
Moody and dramatic, this master suite in the attic is a penthouse of sorts. The walls are white near the windows but the ceiling is a dark wood. If you look further into the room, you can see the bathroom is hidden behind the black closets. The freestanding stainless steel tub is private, thanks to the wall, but also benefits from the natural light. A red lamp adds a striking color contrast.
Although this is an attic bedroom, there are stairs that lead to another space in the home…upward! The chalkboard-like black accent wall behind the bed offers some diversity among the white accents. The "Y" shaped beams make the room look architecturally interesting. Lastly, the strange looking brown chair and accordion wall sconcesgive the room an industrial feel.

Bright and white, the only thing holding this attic bedroom down is the dark hues of the bed and the chair. The ceiling comes together like the shape of a barn and the windows melt into the walls with their white shade. A small window ledge showcases art, books, and natural colored items. The few furniture pieces that are in the room are streamlined and dramatic. The light, bed, chair, and wooden side table are kept near-to-the-ground to contrast with the tall ceilings. The colors of the bedroom chair and bed also help with the contrast.
This room is much more than just a place to sleep. As you can see, there is a space to work and a couch for entertaining. Although this room is perfect for a teen to escape to, the design is sophisticated enough for an adult. Beams cross through the space and the exposed brick make it full of character. Lighting above the window on the bookshelf adds a modern twist. Another cool aspect is the mural painted near the bed.

Sometimes an attic isn't too easy to renovate. That doesn't mean it can't be a cool outside space. This attic doesn't appear to be used for all seasons but is used as a hang out when the weather is nice. Cone shaped, the windows are cut out of this room at random and art is hung in-between the rafters. This space reminds one of the room in The Little Princess, only nicer.

This orange attic is bright and full of cheer! Window coverings match the furniture throughout the room and also allow for privacy. The art pieces incorporated feel Asian-inspired and add a different style layer to the room. The blue painting in the hallway works well with the other orange accents.
Look closely at the left of the windows and you'll see a built-in that lights up a small bonsai tree. This accent clearly suggests to the viewer that this room is dedicated to being a zen space. The bed is made of the same wood as the floors and the inside of the windows. With bare colors and even less accents this attic bedroom is a place to think and meditate.
The beauty of designing an attic space is working with the interesting shape. In this attic, the designer embraced the shape of the ceiling and built in two twin beds and a window seat.
